Building A Safer Evansville (BASE) has been awarded the GOT OUTCOMES! Coalition of Excellence Award for Short-Term Outcomes. This award is sponsored by the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) National Coalition Institute, which recognizes coalitions achieving contributions to positive changes in community-level outcomes.
BASE implemented a comprehensive set of data driven strategies and interventions to target the unique and specific conditions contributing to substance use and/or abuse in Evansville.
BASE successfully demonstrated how dedication and hard work aimed to reduce and prevent substance abuse in our community resulted in positive community-level changes!
BASE Executive Director, Jennifer Braun, and BASE Communications Associate, Ranelle Graber, accepted the award on behalf of the BASE coalition at CADCA’s 27th Annual National Leadership Forum in Washington D.C. In addition, Braun and Graber presented on the data driven strategies and interventions implemented in Evansville that aided in our achievement of several short-term outcomes.
It is important to recognize that our collective success would not be possible without the support of those individuals that serve on our BASE Board of Directors: Mike Czerwonka, Kelly Klingensmith, Sergeant Patrick Reese, Dulcie Bergsma, Jim Brooks, Deb Miller, Laura Mays, Lieutenant Jay Koehler, Michele Peck and Courtney Bergsma. Your extraordinary service and dedication to the coalition and the Evansville community is greatly appreciated!
