Meet Mr. President, Mike Czerwonka! Mike works as a social worker at Evansville Middle School.
Mike has been involved with BASE since the Evansville community first considered applying for the grant . Mike states, “the initial talks were around underage alcohol consumption and what the community could do to prevent and reduce the instances of underage use.”
Mike has been a part of prevention efforts for most of his career and BASE continues to provide system/community approaches to helping individuals.
“Naturally, my involvement with the Evansville Community School District lends itself to being a partner with BASE.” says Mike. “I love the diverse representation that BASE members have. I appreciate both the professional/occupational experiences and their personal experiences the members have. We are all also focused on a common goal.”
Outside of prevention work, Mike enjoys a variety of outside activities in all seasons (skiing in the winter; running in the spring; gardening and outside yard-work in the summer and biking in the fall!)
Thank you for all your efforts towards BASE’s mission, Mike!
